The Volunteers at CCYC

Outside of our Galley provider, Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club is a 100% volunteer run club.  It has run successfully since 1934 using this model, tapping the generosity of it's member's time, enthusiasm and effort. 

With everything from occasionally taking out trash, to managing finances or installing complex mesh routers, to working on our digital footprint, there is opportunity for each and every member to contribute.  It is a general expectation that all members will help out in some volunteer capacity each year.  For example, members at all levels must bus their own tables.  Drinks are not served, but instead
self-ordered at the Bar.

How to Get Involved

If a member has a skill set that could better the CCYC experience, the club welcomes the help.  And Volunteers are needed each year on the Bar Committee, Garden & Grounds Committee, Race Committee, Youth Sailing, Education Committee and of course to help plan and execute Club Events.  These committees are always looking for a helping hand!

These are amazing opportunities to help Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club while getting to know your fellow members and keeping the organization moving forward.
